Mind the time zone

Singapore and Malaysia are 1 hour ahead of Batam (Indonesia, WIB). Booking schedules use each departure point's local time.

What you pay on the day

Majestic includes the fuel surcharge and terminal fee — nothing to pay on-site.
Only Batam Fast is paid at the counter — S$6 leaving Singapore · Rp 55,000 leaving Batam (once at each end on a round trip). That single amount covers both the fuel surcharge and the terminal fee — there is nothing else to pay.

What is the Batam ferry schedule? Are there many sailings?

HarbourFront ↔ Batam Centre runs from about 07:00 until the evening, more than 10 sailings a day. The Batam ferry timetable differs by operator and terminal — tell us the time you want and we book that sailing. Your ferry to Batam is confirmed by email once the seat is issued.

How much is a Batam ferry ticket? Is a return cheaper?

The fare table above shows Batam ferry prices for round trip and one way in your currency. A round trip costs less than two one-way tickets. Indonesian nationals have a separate local fare — tick the box above the fare table.

How long does the Singapore to Batam ferry take?

HarbourFront to Batam Centre takes about 60 minutes; Tanah Merah to Sekupang or Nongsapura is about 50 minutes. The Singapore to Batam ferry runs several times a day, so you can pick the time that suits you.

Which Batam terminal should I choose?

Batam Centre (also written Batam Center) is the most popular — it is closest to the city, the malls and most hotels. We will suggest the terminal nearest to where you are staying.

Can I book ferry tickets on their own?

Yes. You can book ferry tickets (round-trip or one-way) without a tour. And if you book them together with a Batam tour, we'll coordinate your pickup and schedule around your arrival and return times.

Which ferry operators do you use?

On Singapore routes we use Majestic Fast Ferry and Batam Fast; on the Johor Bahru route, Dolphin. We'll recommend the operator that fits your departure port and time.

Which Batam terminal will I arrive at?

You can choose the most popular Batam Centre, as well as Sekupang, Nongsapura and Gold Coast, depending on the route. We'll suggest the terminal closest to your destination (hotel, golf course, etc.).

Do I need a passport or visa?

Batam is Indonesian territory, so a passport is required on entry. Visa rules vary by nationality — please ask when booking. Show your passport and booking confirmation at check-in.

How do payment and booking work?

Choose your ports and times on the booking screen and the fare is shown. After you apply, our staff confirms and sends an invoice; once we verify your transfer, we issue the tickets. KakaoTalk and WhatsApp support are available too.
